How it works

Printmore in four steps of your workshop.

Printmore Manager does a lot, but daily use is simple. This guide shows the essentials of each area and where to start.

What's new

QR spool labels

Print on A4 sheets or one by one and weigh spools with your phone.

Preventive maintenance

Alerts by print hours, with parts and costs logged.

Automatic filament deduction

Optional: stock goes down when your Bambu Lab finishes a job.

  1. 01

    Printers and shop floor

See what each machine is doing and when it needs attention.

    1. 1In Settings → Printer connection, link your Bambu Lab account (or another brand).
    2. 2Open a printer to see progress, layer, time left and nozzle/bed temperatures.
    3. 3Set maintenance tasks by hours; the Shop floor warns you when they are due.
  2. 02

    Filament and labels

Spool stock that adds up, without searching lists.

    1. 1Add your spools in Filaments, with brand, colour and weight.
    2. 2Tap Print labels and stick the QR on each spool.
    3. 3On the Shop floor, scan the QR, put the spool on the scale and the brand's tare is subtracted.
  3. 03

    Costs and quotes

Prices based on real cost, not guesswork.

    1. 1Set electricity, machine wear, labour and margin once.
    2. 2Create a product with weight and print time; the cost shows instantly.
    3. 3Build a quote with several products and shipping, send the PDF and turn it into an order.
  4. 04

    Production, shipping and customer

Customers follow their order without asking you.

    1. 1Follow each order in the production queue, with its assigned printer.
    2. 2Create the shipping label and save the tracking code (CTT, GLS, DHL and more).
    3. 3Share the portal link: customers see quotes, invoices, status and tracking.

In detail

Answers to the most common day-to-day questions.

How does automatic spool deduction work?+

It is off by default. Turn it on per printer: open the printer and switch on “Automatic filament deduction”.

Then tell it which spool sits in each AMS slot (or the external holder). When a Bambu job finishes successfully, the grams used in each slot are taken from the matching spool.

Deduction happens when jobs sync with the printer, so it may take a few minutes to show.

If a slot has no spool assigned, nothing is deducted — the system never guesses.

What about deduction from orders?+

On a product you can (optionally) choose which spool it uses. On a customer order, each line can use a different spool, and that choice wins.

Filament is deducted when you mark the order as delivered.

If the order's printer has auto-deduct on, the order is marked as «consumed at print» and is not deducted again. Each spool has a history of every movement.

How do I weigh a spool with the right tare?+

In Filaments or on the Shop floor, open “Weigh”, pick the brand and put the spool on the scale. The tare (empty reel weight) is subtracted and the remaining filament is saved.

Tares come pre-filled per brand and you can adjust them if your reel differs.

What are the QR labels for?+

Each label identifies one spool. Scanning the QR with your phone camera opens that spool's weighing straight away.

Print several on an A4 sheet or download each label separately. Renaming the spool doesn't break the label.

How do maintenance alerts work?+

Create tasks (lubricate, change nozzle, check belts) with an interval in print hours. When the machine nears the limit, a warning shows on the Shop floor and the printer page.

When done, log parts and cost, and it's saved in the printer's history.

Which printers can I connect?+

Bambu Lab connects through your cloud account. Other brands on your local network connect through a small bridge app you install on a workshop computer.

Without a connection you can still add printers and use maintenance, production and costs.

What does my customer see in the portal?+

With the link you share, customers see quotes, invoices, order status and shipment tracking, and can message you.
